So I disappeared for a couple days - went camping at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Connecticut. It was... interesting. It was different from what I'm used to in a campground. My favorite campground is in the woods. Each site is well separated from its neighbor by trees. There's privacy. This was not private. This was a big open field.
That truck is on the second site away from us. There's a site between us and it. Now check out the other side.
See the camper rightnexttous? That's so not what I'm used during camping. And the noise! There were a zillion and one kids riding bikes and rollerblading -- one poor kid wiped out in front of us and we had to give him first aid. Then there was the salsa music which was just a little too loud for me. BUT I had a good time. We brought our XM radio with us so we were able to catch the NASCAR race and the Yankees games -- and the Twins game when the Yankees were sinking fast Tuesday night. I read two very different books. Ate good food. Clean bathrooms, always a plus. And Craig and I got to spend some good time together, which we really needed.
Oh, and I made Ball Ice Cream.
