This is a statue of John Wesley at my alma mater, West Virginia Wesleyan College, where I continued my theological journey that started the day I was born. Here, I learned that the Bible is always Truth but isn't always true, learned that I hated John Wesley but followed his path because it was the closest one to walk, and learned that my heart belongs in the mountains -- the Old Mountains, the Appalachians. When my heart longs for comfort, it longs for West Virginia. Going to WVWC changed my life -- it helped me become the person I knew it my heart I was meant to be - and I had no idea I could be so much more, but Wesleyan showed me that potential, too. I am forever grateful for my teachers and mentors. Life truly never was the same.
